Music!

11AM – Steve Sharp & Darrell Data

Darrell and Steve are long time veterans of the Illinois Valley music scene, and beyond. Both are members and vocalists for The Steve Sharp Band, as well as performing as solo acts. Darrell lived and performed in Seattle for many years before returning to Illinois. He was also a member of the Buckacre band in the 1970s. Steve played with his cousin’s band in Texas before returning to Illinois and joining the band Missing 51.

12:15PM – KevinRoyK & Friends

KevinRoyK is a musician, composer, performer, educator based in the north-central Illinois region, who’s been collaborating on stages and studios for nearly two decades. Whether it’s performing his own songs, or interpreting music written by other artists, doing so with a full band, or performing solo, the songs are shared with a unique style that is rooted in the joy of self expression through music.

1:30PM – The Morning Larks

One fateful night in 2018, three women walked into a pub in north central Illinois, each wielding an instrument – one a guitar, another violin, and the third a ukulele. They were shirttail musical kin, though they had never played together as a trio until that serendipitous moment when their three-part harmonies and stringed instruments blended together naturally during a semi-spontaneous guest performance. Today, this trio comprised of ukulelist Emily Williams, guitarist Christina Eltrevoog, and fiddler Sarah Arter is known as The Morning Larks, and can be found roving about central Illinois, delighting audiences with their original compositions, traditional Irish ballads, lively fiddle tunes, and unique interpretations of popular songs by bands you love.

2:45PM – BEYOND the STARS

3/5 of the Belle Rangers join singer-songwriters TM Shaw and Christina Eltrevoog to provide a set of original music in their second performance as BEYOND the STARS. It does not get any fresher than this!

4:00PM – Aaron Kelly Trio

Aaron Kelly grew up on the edge of the Chicago megalopolis, falling under the influence of John Prine, storytelling, and empathy, his songs are carefully crafted and made to last. In 2022, Aaron Kelly Band released Songs Still Sing, their first album after 5 years of playing together, and will release an EP called Letting the Animals Out in autumn 2023.

5:15PM – Demi Clara

Demi Clara is a indie-folk, singer/songwriter from Plainfield, Illinois. Her vulnerability in her lyricism creates an intimate experience with her audiences, while her unique and raspy voice with a wide-range defines her. Connecting with others and creating cathartic, revealing, and healing moments for the audience is her passion. She also loves to incorporate a little humor in her songwriting. She is influenced by artists like John Prine, Phoebe Bridgers, Conner Oberst, Carsie Blanton, and Glen Hansard. She is proud to be apart of her local arts community and strives to lift her fellow creators up! You can follow her @demiclaramusic for more!

5:45PM – Machino Carrino

Original blues-soul-reggae groove.

6:15PM – The PACKRAT MACHINe

Songwriting has always been a major catalyst for The Packrat Machine to create and perform. Find your favorite song, request it, dance and sing along! After a long obsession with instruments and audio gear, The Packrat Machine nowadays tends to be stripped down. Performances start with just an acoustic guitar, but can also include various musicians to fill the stage with a driving musical force.

6:45PM – Robin Bienemann

Robin Bienemann is a singer & songwriter from Chicago. His wickedly funny and poignant original songs mix contemporary themes with old musical styles. He combines dry humor and sophisticated songwriting with a deep sense of history. At his musical core is a reverence for the guitar as an instrument to accompany songs and as a vessel to express the American psyche in all its strange beauty and complexity.

7:15PM – Jenny Bienemann

Jenny is an award-winning singer/songwriter who garners international radio play with 3 studio albums and 2 live albums.  Jenny hosts a singer songwriter night at FitzGerald’s on the third Tuesday of each month. She is also a published author, the poet and visual artist behind the Haiku Milieu series which includes three books, an audiobook, a soundtrack, the Sunday Haiku Milieu Email Club, the Haiku Milieu YouTube channel, and a concert series of songs inspired by Haiku Milieu. She teaches workshops and classes on songwriting and creativity, including her multi-session courses “Bringing Your Songs to Life, “you, (w)ripening,” and “Song (W)ripening.”

7:45PM – Josh Rinehart

Josh Rinehart lives in Bloomington, IL, but was born and raised in the Illinois Valley. He was introduced to simple melodies in his childhood through church music, and narrative songs through musical theater. These traits are composted into the soil of his singer-songwriter folk songs, along with influences from the 60s and 70s Laurel Canyon scene. Often more melancholy than he sets out to be, his contemplative tunes aim to showcase truth and simplicity.

8:15PM – Jesse in Grey

Jesse in Grey is the songwriting project of Brooklyn based multi-instrumentalist Jesse Bielenberg. His recorded music contains ingredients consistent with folk, rock, chamber, emo, & shoegaze, but he likes to think of it as “humblecore.” Jesse has two EPs under his vegan leather belt, with songs ruminating on trees & television & loving & domesticity & growing up & the grey in-between spaces of uncertainty.

8:45PM – DPCD

DPCD is the work of Illinois musician Alec Watson. Taking its name after a four-letter secret code given to him by his great-grandfather, DPCD’s music is intimate and soft spoken, with Watson’s meditative singing illuminated by fragile webs of guitar, piano, and celeste.

9:15PM – Matt Pittman

Matthew Pittman is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the outskirts of Chicago. Though an Americana artist at his core, he weaves rich and lush landscapes with an uncanny knack for hooks that owes as much to classical chamber music as it does pop songwriting.
